Since its launch in 2015, the Sub Sahara Spectrum Management has been held in South Africa, Senegal and Kenya; and is now established a reputation as the leading platform for spectrum policy discussion in the region.
For the 4th consecutive year, The Sub-Sahara Spectrum Management Conference will provide a meeting place for the region's most influential spectrum policymakers and thought leaders.
The conference will run alongside two other other key meetings for the Sub-Sahara region - an ITU Capacity Building Workshop on cross border frequency co-ordination and the PRIDA Initiative Launch Event.
The ITU Workshop will address the latest technical tools and general co-ordination mechanisms that are to be used by African countries to achieve smooth dialogue with one another on spectrum managment and monitoring issues. Whilst the PRIDA initiative, is a joint venture between ITU and the European Commission that holds the objective of fostering universally accessible, affordable and effective wireless broadband across Africa, to unlock future benefits of internet based services.
